Special Events and Outings:

A trip has been organised by the Belfast Battalion ‘Orienteering 4 Fun’ on Saturday 22nd September to Cairnwood Forest. It is a fun event organised as part of the Junior Section outdoor pursuits programme. Cairnwood Forest is situated on the back road to Crawfordsburn from Craigantlet. The cost of this event will be £3 per boy. This event will be used also to encourage new recruits. Please could you let me know whether your son can attend as I have to register and pay for the boys by Monday 17th. We will meet at the church hall at 1.00 am sharp and return to hall at 4.15 pm – Hot food will be provided when boys complete the course.
Boys should wear B.B. polo shirt/sweatshirt and bring waterproof jacket.
I will also need a parental consent form to be signed, which I will bring along on the first Thursday night of BB.

Anchor Boys Section.

We would dearly love to start an B.B. Anchor Boys Section but need adult leaders.  If you are interested, contact the minister - details below.  Volunteering requires a commitment to attend one evening a week during our activity season - typically September to the following May with breaks for school half terms, Christmas and Easter.  Volunteers will need to comply with our Child Protection Policy - this involves the necessary training and checks.  Details available from our Child Protection Officers - Mrs Christine McKibbin and Mrs Arlene Irvine or from the minister.

The Junior Section is for boys in schools years 5, 6 & 7.
