Ezekiel Session 3
We will be commencing Session 3 of our Ezekiel Bible Study on Wednesday 16th November.
Please note, the bible study will now be commencing at 10.30am sharp, aiming to finish at 11.30.
Bible Study Preparation:
Please read Ezekiel Chapters 8 to 11.
For each chapter, ask yourself the question; what is the theme of this passage?
For chapter 8. Consider the following:
- There is a time lapse between the events beginning at Chapter 1 and those beginning at Chapter 8. Compare Ezekiel 1:1-3 and 8:1. How much time has elapsed?
- Briefly describe what Ezekiel saw when he was transported to the temple in Jerusalem.
- Compare Ezekiel 8:2-4 with Ezekiel 1:26-28. What do you notice?
For Chapter 9. Consider the following questions:
- Where are these events happening?
- Who is involved?
- What is happening?
- Why do you think these things are happening?
- Who was killed and who was spared?
- How did the Lord respond to Ezekiel's cry?
- What is the significance of the man in linen? Read:
- Daniel 10:4-6. & 12:5-7. Revelation 15:6. & 19:7-16.
- How do Ezekiel Chapters 8 and 9 relate?
For Chapter 10. Consider the following:
- Compare the description of the Living Creatures in Chapter 1 with the description of the Cherubim in Chapter 10.
- Try and describe in your own words (or draw a picture of) the image in your mind of the Cherubim.
- How do Chapters 1 and 10 relate to each other?
- What can you see in this chapter that you can apply to your own life?
- Have any truths been revealed to you about God that you have not seen before?
For Chapter 11. Consider the following:
- Compare Ezekiel 11:13 with 9:8. What is the connection?
- What is the message in Ezekiel 11:14-21?
- How does this message relate to what you have seen so far in this vision?
- How does it answer Ezekiel's question?
- Compare with Jeremiah 31:31-40.
- What happens to the Glory of God in verses 22 & 23.
- From Chapters 8 to 11, what have we learnt about the Glory of God.
