Prayer Fellowship

There are many definitions of prayer, Saint Clement of Alexandria said: “Prayer is conversation with God …” and when we pray, either alone or with others, we are communicating with God.  We have learned that prayer is all about developing our relationship and intimacy with our Father.  It is dynamic and active, never static. Exciting! We are none of us experts and sometimes we find it difficult to pray, but we are encouraged that “even our desire to pray, God perceives as prayer.”  (Richard Foster)

There are two weekly prayer meetings in our church.  One is held on Monday evening and the other on Sunday morning.  Both are informal and allow an opportunity to talk over our concerns – global and local.

We have found that meeting together regularly has brought blessing and inspiration, as we talk with one another and hear how God is moving in our lives as individuals and in the life of the Church.

We encourage you to pass on your prayer requests either by telephone or by way of our Prayer Request Box above.  Better still, come along and experience for yourself the warmth and fellowship of the Prayer Meeting – Monday evening, Sunday morning or both!

Richard Foster:  “One of the liberating experiences of my life came when I understood that prayer involved a learning process.  I was set free to question, to experiment, even to fail, for I knew that I was learning…  Real prayer is something we learn.”
